The fit, feel and tolerance on the RetroSix ABS shell is better than the original. The buttons are stronger with newer ABS and more accurate molds than the original, the buttons and triggers are ultra-responsive, the plastic is much stronger and free of any detects like those you get on injection-molded shells.

NOTES:
- We recommend only pairing these shells with RetroSix button sets. Triggers from any other company may have fitment issues with shell.
- Prestige shells may need some trimming near the start/select area inside shell.
- Shell can still be used for regular GBAs without IPS screens. Just purchase regular sized screen and be aware of having to position/secure the original screen down centered in view due to the opening being larger than normal.
- Not recommended/compatible with Laminated LCD kits.
- Clear variants will be more frosted than crystal clear. We have Crystal Clear shells available here.

PEARL SHELLS + CLEANING:
- Use of Isopropyl Alcohol on these shells will cause the finish to wear away.
- To clean the Pearl shells use a clean white microfiber cloth and mild solvent of your choice. When using a colored microfiber cloth, the solvent can dissolve the dye and stain your shell.

Purchases are eligible for return within 30 days of purchase. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
When you receive a backlight/LCD kit, you should perform a dry run before installing to assure that nothing has been damaged in transit. A dry run or test fit means the kit is not installed in the shell. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of adhesives, brackets, and any performed soldering. All ribbon cables should have no bends or creases in them. If you are unsure how to perform a dry run, please contact our support team and we will be happy to help. Backlight kits that have been installed are not eligible for replacement or return. If a backlight/LCD is returned and shows any signs of having been installed, it will not be eligible for a refund.
Requested returns/refunds/exchanges for items you believe to be defective, will be subject to a troubleshooting process with our support team before proceeding with a return/replacement/refund.
Modifying a product in any way, including but not limited to removing or adding components, will result in the voiding of our return/refund policy.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Defective or damaged parts are free to return within 30 days of purchase. Shipping costs are not covered for items returned at a customer's request or the refusal of the troubleshooting process with our support. Refunds for shipping costs and Route Shipping Insurance will not be given.
Please note that international orders are not eligible for a prepaid shipping label for returns on defective products. Returns must be paid for by the customer.

We reserve the right to deduct an amount proportional to the chosen shipping return method from your refund if you order does not quality for a free return:

REFUNDS (IF APPLICABLE)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment, within 1-7 business days.
Refunds for shipping costs and Route Shipping Insurance will not be given.
LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS (IF APPLICABLE)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account. Then contact your bank or credit card company. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at support@handheldlegend.com.
CANCEL/EDIT ORDERS
You may cancel or edit orders yourself (before fulfillment) by following the steps in this guide. If you edit/cancel your order, you can expect a refund within 1 to 7 business days. Orders that have been fulfilled by our shipping team cannot have edits made or be canceled. We will do our best to assist customers in this process if needed, but it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their order and shipping information is correct before processing the order. We are not responsible for any issues that may occur due to incorrect items, shipping information, etc on orders.

After about 4 hours with the new case and its already showing signs of wear. Customer support only offering a discount on another case. It's sad I'm on my 3rd build with handheld legends, first time trying this case and there's little to no support. I guess ill be taking my business elsewhere.
Thanks for your review! We ask that customers report any issues upon receiving items to ensure that if there are any defects we can offer replacements at 100%. Once an item has been installed/used, we cannot offer full replacements because items could have been damaged at any time during the install, even if it was not noticed by you at the time. Support will do their best to work with you but we also have to keep policies in mind due to the delicate electronics/products we are working with.

The picture shows more of a glossy finish, its somewhat more matte looking, definitely feels more matte to the touch, which is ok if thats what you’re looking for on a clear black shell. Quality and strength is great. the screws are absolute garbage quality, so be careful when tightening and loosening. IPS screen fit perfectly and aligned as intended, if you follow the instructions.
Nice feeling material, but the shell had a large gap along the edge between the pieces. Had to spend over an hour shaving down the **** standoffs until it finally fit together properly. The soft material also meant that one of the screwholes ended up getting stripped by the time I had fixed the gap. The lens also did not fit properly which messed up the LCD alignment.

Loved the shell and it brought new life to my old GBA. My only gripe is using this shell with an IPS Drop in screen from Vetro Gaming. Fits well and functions near perfectly. But when attaching the touch sensor for color modes, do light sanding on the top portion you’d attach this sensor to. If you don’t, the sensor won’t register your touch. Again this isn’t a big deal, just some knowledge that should be passed down before pairing with that part. My only guess is that it’s due to paint on the shell, but when it comes to modding, there’s always going to be some “trimming” needing to be done.
It was too small for the ips display. I didn’t fit, and according to the description it’s supposed to be extra wide and it was a lie, it fits a normal oem plastic lens on the front, and I can’t use a new funnyplaying ips screen
