NOTES:
- The display area on the LCD is slightly smaller than the original so a TFT lens must be used to mask properly.
- Foam adhesive is not required if using either spacer set. You may use either 3D printed spacers or acrylic spacers depending on preference.
- After installation, if it is noted that your touch sensor is overly sensitive or is cycling, please see this article for assistance.

The touch sensor can be placed near the top of the console near the IR data transfer window.
WARNINGS:
- Test before installation! When you receive a backlight/LCD kit, you should perform a dry run before installing to assure that nothing has been damaged in transit. A dry run or test fit means the kit is not installed in the shell. This includes the use of adhesives, brackets, and any performed soldering. All ribbon cables should have no bends or creases in them. If you are unsure how to perform a dry run, please contact our support team and we will be happy to help. Backlight kits that have been installed are not eligible for replacement or return.

Requested returns/refunds/exchanges for items you believe to be defective, will be subject to a troubleshooting process with our support team before proceeding with a return/replacement/refund.
Modifying a product in any way, including but not limited to removing or adding components, will result in the voiding of our return/refund policy.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Defective or damaged parts are free to return within 30 days of purchase. Shipping costs are not covered for items returned at a customer's request or the refusal of the troubleshooting process with our support. Refunds for shipping costs and Route Shipping Insurance will not be given.
Please note that international orders are not eligible for a prepaid shipping label for returns on defective products. Returns must be paid for by the customer.

We reserve the right to deduct an amount proportional to the chosen shipping return method from your refund if you order does not quality for a free return:

REFUNDS (IF APPLICABLE)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment, within 1-7 business days.
Refunds for shipping costs and Route Shipping Insurance will not be given.
LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS (IF APPLICABLE)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account. Then contact your bank or credit card company. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

CANCEL/EDIT ORDERS
You may cancel or edit orders yourself (before fulfillment) by following the steps in this guide. If you edit/cancel your order, you can expect a refund within 1 to 7 business days. Orders that have been fulfilled by our shipping team cannot have edits made or be canceled. We will do our best to assist customers in this process if needed, but it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their order and shipping information is correct before processing the order. Super easy to install, works like a charm. I have 0 experience with anything electronic and I had no difficulty whatsoever. So happy with the screen quality, even the dimmer button works great.
I've installed this on 2 of my GBC consoles now and they are a gazillion times better now! I can play at night now and the install was not that difficult at all!

Decent enough for backlit solution that doesnt drain double AA’s like their nothing but for the price would expect a bit better, still works for my needs though and am happy enough. UPDATE: Well after owning the screen and having it installed for barely over a week its developed a group of black lines on the bottom of the screen very disappointed as i liked this screen, I saw another review who had the same problem not to mention that for the price you would expect something quality and that lasts longer than a week.

It's an easy peasy install. Be sure to get a 2.2 inch lens as well with your purchase. The display is great, the only thing that could be better would be a retro pixel option but the display is much better than the original despite being smaller.
I had never done any console mods before, but I recently got an itch to put a backlit screen into my old GBC that’s mostly been sitting in storage for years. I haven’t soldered electronics since high school about 15 years ago, so I didn’t want to dive into soldering anything for my first ever mod attempt.
After doing a bit of research, I came across this screen and decided to give it a shot. I bought the lens to match, as other reviewers had noted the visible white spaces around the screen if you keep the original GBC lens.
The screen was super easy to install, especially with HHL’s video that walks you through the whole thing. The whole project took me a little over an hour. But that’s because I had to learn how to remove the old screen and lens, then how to install the new ones. I also swapped in new buttons and pads. If I were to do this again, I’d say it would take me about 20 minutes. I’m sure an experienced modder would need even less time.
Once it was all installed and tested, of course I threw in Link’s Awakening DX. The screen looks great! The colors really pop. The touch sensor to adjust the brightness works great, and it’s just a cool little feature to have. It’s also worth noting that the lens made for this screen fits it perfectly. At only a couple bucks, I’d say it’s a vital addition to this screen. Really ties the Game Boy together.
Additionally, HHL shipped my stuff out the next morning, and it arrived maybe 3 or 4 days after I placed the order. To any first-timers like me who are just starting out with Game Boy mods, I’d highly recommend this purchase.
