What Exactly Is The Engraving Service
Our engraving service allows you to customize your console like never before. Choose your console, pick your preferred shell, and upload your image for us to engrave onto the shell.
It's important to note that this is a subtractive manufacturing process. Unlike UV printing or other color-adding methods, this process does not involve adding any colors to the shell. Instead, it alters the texture of the material, giving your console a unique, custom look. If there is a soft touch coating over top of the shell it will reveal the shell color underneath of the engraving (Typically white shells under sprays)
Shell Recommendations:
- Soft Touch or "Pearl" shells are typically a matte spray paint coating over top of a white shell, they will reveal a two tone color when engraved.
- Regular Plastic Shells will typically only have a texture change where the engraving is done, this is because the plastic is all the same color. These will typically be harder to see.
- OEM and OEM Style SP Shells will give the two tone look as they are sprayed.
Design Recommendations:
- Black and White
- High Contrast
- Simple Images
- Full color images will likely lose detail when engraved
