Purchased on behalf of my Repair Tech and neither of us caught it was just an overlay, as we were quickly looking for new shell options. Still trying to decide if we want to purchase a shell to use behind it, or just put it out at the shop for others to purchase. It is very pretty and well made, but a little thick.

The veneer looks very nice and everything is accessible if you intend to play a system you place it on. It even comes with a few additional stickers for the back half of a shell. In my experience though, it keeps scraping my left thumb when I move it across the D-pad. It might be best to sand down the edges around the D-pad before putting it on a build, or using it on a display-only system. That said, I am still very happy with both the veneer and the build it's part of.
