Aside from a glitch on the handheld legend website while ordering, the process was great. My GameCube was not reading discs at all so I purchased the replacement part for it. Installation was a breeze using the ifixit guide. Only took me about 20 minutes to complete.

As for the website issue, when I was selecting the shipping option, there was a free option listed. I selected that choice but they ended up cancelling my order. I reordered again and the free option was not there anymore. This time they did not cancel my order and I received the product correctly. Definitely would purchase from this site again.

I bought 2, and both of them worked perfectly on my Gamecubes. Note: If your GameCube is still not reading discs after replacing the Optical Laser and adjusting the potentiometer, it could be your Optical Board is faulty (the board that is right below the whole Optical Drive and where the potentiometer is located) and not your new Optical Laser Replacement.

Works great! Will buy parts again.

Brought the GC back to life after adjusting the pot to 230ohm.

it worked and happy with purchase but to bad that the spindle motor gave out after laser replacement

Worked well with a simple install and a quick tune of the pot!
