The only reason i didn’t give it a 5 stars is because the connector for the display was not in the exact position as the ips I replaced. It’s like 1mm off which causes tension on the ribbon cable connector that connects to the board of the game boy because the pcb moves 1mm to accommodate the difference. Overall doesn’t effect anything on the gameboy.

I needed a replacement and the lcd arrived just in time for my showcase the night after. 10/10

I have been enjoying many upgraded IPS LCDs from HHL but apparently all have been Topoly. Finally ordered a LG model to replace a borked Topoly and it works and looks great for static images but it has terrible ghosting. In quick side scrolling games with contrasting colors, strange ghosting and patterns are created. Surprising to say the least as most reviewers/modders seem to like the LG screens but in my experience Topoly is better and does not have this issue at all. It's hard to capture but I tried with the following image.

Needed another IPS screen because I messed up the last one. This one did the trick, looks good.

Got this as a backup along with a separate holographic lens for someone's build in case I got a Toppoly or got a bad screen/messed up. Ended up not needing either as the FP kit I got had a new LG and the laminated lens was holographic. So, this and the lens are spares or parts for another build. HHL definitely packages their stuff well, I was worried it would be damaged in transit since USPS and other delivery companies in my area aren't exactly gentle with smaller packages. Pretty sure the package it came in could have been yeeted by a nuclear blast and it would been perfectly fine (if a bit irradiated, lol).

ordered this as a replacement from a kit i bought from another website that i broke trying to remove. this one arrived better packaged and in better condition than my original with a quicker shipping time 10/10
