works well, great shell

I purchased the clear shell and it was great! Be careful with the battery slot—the **** holder inside the case slipped out of place while I was closing up the shell. Other than that, super easy to put together and no fit issues. Bonus was that the new shell fixed my hinge!

Avoid this shell

The recent reviews were low for this shell but I didn't believe them, I was wrong.

The plastics were covered in burrs that required sanding, the d-pad wouldn't even work without sanding.

The faceplate is curved so it makes closing it without the shoulder button springs popping out almost impossible. That and the shell doesn't snap closed without screws. Since it's bent this means the bottom never closes.

The track for the volume and power switch are way too narrow so they fall out while trying to close, adding one more issue to go along with the shoulder springs.

The final straw for me was after swapping the screen lens. I removed the "protective" film and the lens was covered in scratches.

Avoid this one.

Pure Trash

Stupidly, I bought three of these and all 3 had the same issues. The molding of the plastic was sloppy, the parts of the shell did not fit well together. I had to clean up the **** holes and cut away excess plastic and even then, the board and screens barely fit. The plastic and included hardware is cheap, the plastic housing and buttons are poorly made. I would not recommend these shells under any circumstance.

Don't buy

So i had to do some cut on the board before putting it together, i notice the one i got is a lil bigger than an OEM shell (I got the pink transparent one), because it is bigger my buttons wouldn't reach the button contacts, the "new" screws that came with it are awful and broke while i put some pressure to create threads. Don't buy.

Moderate Quality, but not ideal

Packaging of the shell was adequate. However, final finish of the DS shell was lackluster. A razor blade was needed to remove nubs remaining from when the plastic was molded. The rose gold is painted on, rather than being the color of the plastic itself;lending it to be scratched off easily around the power and volume toggles. There's an audible creak in the plastic when holding the completed DS, as parts of the housing don't quite fit together as snug as an original shell.

The quality of this shell is not representative of other offerings from Handheld, as the GBA and GBA SP shells I've ordered have been of solid quality.

Decent finish, Poor fit

I ordered the Ice Blue. The plastic itself is nice enough, smooth and shiny finish. The fit however left a lot to be desired. Some of the issues I encountered: The bottom plate was not designed correctly and required a lot of sanding/cutting near the battery to fit properly, the buttons are too short (including the portion that is supposed to interact with the motherboard, I used super glue to make them longer), the plastic that is used for the LED indicators is too short leaving a gap of air, and the two bottom pieces do not fit together properly so there is a gap. Overall, if you can't get an original shell, this will do in a pinch.
