I was very pleased with the design of my monster index shell. The different buttons offered a variety of color combinations that made my shell feel more like my own. However where this shell falls short is the quality of materials. There was a particular issue I had where the screws provided after being firmly tightened on the motherboard would end up erupting through the surface of the shell, causing these blemishes on the bottom half and scratching the hinge. It’s very disappointing that the materials provided could damage the shell this way, otherwise it would be an excellent package for custom ds lite designs.

I may have just got a bad shell. But for the most part it looks nice and feels great. The only problem I kept having was the fit for the shell when it was assembled. The screws either wouldn't hold or didn't seem to go where they said they should. I ended up using the original screws from the original shell. That seemed to hold the shell together. But the left bumper kept getting stuck or wouldn't sit right. I double and triple checked to make sure the wires didn't cause any issues with the shell not closing properly but that was not the case.

This came with absolutely everything I needed, and more than I expected!
It was great quality, and the finished product looks beautiful.
It even came with a very well made tutorial on how to to set it all up.

At first it was a bit tricky to navigate it all, but it ended up looking great. Only flaw was one I made while going to fast during the ribbon cables. I highly suggest if anyone who has never done anything like this before, GO SLOW and I might be a good idea to buy some replacement parts ahead of time just in case. Overall 10/10 and would love to see the DSI get some love in the future.

This was my first ds shell swap and I love the look of the famicom inspired shell! It’s high quality plastic and looks amazing!

Honestly fantastic. Way less finicky than other aftermarket shells I’ve used. Be careful though, I did strip a screw while assembling but that was my own fault for being a little distracted at the home stretch. Looks great, the soft touch FEELS great and it came with a full set of each color buttons so someone more creative than I am can really go wild if they so choose.
