Frequently Asked Questions
- Is this a pre-built controller? This product arrives as a DIY kit that can be assembled with a screwdriver, and, optionally (recommended), tweezers. No soldering is required to assemble this controller. Just a T6 and T8 Torx screwdriver. The process is about a 15-20 minute build. In the process, you'll learn how the controller is put together, and you'll become well equipped to service this controller so it will last you many hours of gaming ^^
-
Does this have analog dual-stage triggers? There are two configurations you can build with this controller. You can set it up just like the original, with the dual-stage press we all know and love (for most of us anyways). For everyone else, we are including a mechanical trigger kit so you can choose your favorite way to play.
- Does this work with GameCube? Yes, this controller is compatible with GameCube and Wii (With the GameCube ports)
-
What is the latency? The latency depends on how the controller is being used, but we have done years of research into getting the best latency and performance across Nintendo Switch and retro consoles. We guarantee you are getting the lowest possible latency across all platforms. This equates to about 6 frames in Smash Bros. Ultimate. On PC, in XInput mode OR Slippi mode, you get 1000hz polling rate for minimum latency.
-
Is this compatible with OEM parts? The OEM parts from a GameCube controller that are compatible are the Triggers, ABXY buttons, D pad, and Z button. Every other part has been redesigned for our custom PCB.
-
Does this controller have rumble? We support the HD rumble protocol used on Nintendo Switch. This allows the controller to also be compatible with Steam Haptics when playing compatible PC titles. Rumble works like usual for every other console/title that supports it. Dolphin emulator, Steam titles, N64, etc.
-
Will my sticks drift? No! We have developed a wonderful business relationship with Gulikit to provide players with the latest TMR joystick technology. This is comparable to hall effect joysticks but provides more precision with less chance of external magnetic interference.
-
I have resin buttons, will they work? Yes. Resin cast triggers or ABXY buttons will work great in this controller! Z buttons you may need to modify to fit on the left side. Otherwise any typical Z button will fit on the right side just fine.
