Backlight and illuminate your beloved childhood GBC with a modern IPS LCD with improved color, contrast and viewing angle. This enhanced version of the 1.0 kit comes with a custom lens pre laminated to the LCD, choose your color.

As of 10/25/23 - The black, white, yellow, and blue variants we have in stock will have the new OSD menu and its features. Remaining variants will have the old OSD menu. Please see 'Functions' section for more information.

FUNCTIONS:

For newer version of kit with START and SELECT:

• Hold down START and SELECT together for a few seconds to open the OSD menu.
• Quick press START and SELECT to make adjustments in the current menu option.
  
• To move to the next menu option or back to a previous menu option, hold either START or SELECT in the direction of the menu option needed.
• To exit the OSD menu, hold down START and SELECT together for a few seconds or the menu will time out on its own.

For newer version of kit with TOUCH SENSOR:

• Tap and hold the touch sensor for 3 seconds to open OSD menu.
• Quick tap to make adjustments in the current menu option.
• To move to the next menu option, tap and hold the touch sensor for 2 seconds. 
• To exit the OSD menu, hold the touch sensor for 3 seconds or the menu will time out on its own.

New version kit functions:

• BRT = Brightness options
• DSP = Pixel Modes
• FRM = Frame Blending Mode - flicker reduction
  
• LGC = GBC logo color options
• R/G/B = Customize GBC logo color options
• N = Move the display image left and right respectively

For older version of kit:

• Hold down START and SELECT together for a few seconds, the "GAME" on the lens should be the only word lit up. This is "Mode 1."  Here you can use the SELECT and START button to move the display image down and up respectively. 
• Tap on the touch sensor to bring it to "Mode 2." You should see "Boy" lit up now. Here You can use SELECT and START to move the display image left and right respectively.
• Tap on the touch sensor again to bring it "Mode 3." You should see "Color" lit up. Use START and SELECT separately to cycle through the different color options. 
• Hold down START and SELECT together again for a few seconds to confirm, and exit.  
• To cycle the different Pixel modes, tap and hold where the touch sensor is for a few seconds, and the LCD will change to different screen modes each time you perform this.
