Shell was quite low quality and had to use nippers to process the plastic.
The biggest problem was that the rubber to hide the **** that opens the top of the included Shell was not cut correctly into a large integrated rubber. I explained this over and over again to the store, but they never contacted me at all, just one reply. They would not even replace it. Now it looks shabby and the screws are still visible. It sucks.

These are poorly made and do not fit at all. The battery compartment had to be trimmed because the shells were not finished in that spot not allowing battery posts to come through. Once I trimmed that I went to put it all together to only find that none of the port slots were trimmed to the correct height either not allowing the charge port to sit down properly. I would recommend cleaning the factory shell over re-shelling due to the poor quality.

I could bot have gotten my ds closed unless I would trim some plastics and had to drill bumper rod sockets deeper.

Paid for Dark Blue and got the Blue/Black shell instead

The shell worked with some modifications. Had to trim the battery compartment because it crushed the original EM coil on the board; I had to replace it. I also needed to drill out one of the bumper hinge sockets because it would not allow the case to close properly and I had to trim the hole for the power switch due to it getting stuck. Other than those things, I like the replacement shell.

Do not buy this if you want an easy swap!
The DS Lite that I swapped with needed to have a good portion of the new shell trimmed so that it would fit. The shell bulged really bad without shaving some of the inside parts down. Should have listened to the other reviews. What should have taken 45 minutes took several hours and multiple tear-downs.
