The battery itself is a great match, but the connector is wrong. Yes you can make it work, but this absolutely should have been made clear in the description. May fit 'tight' is straight up misleading. I highly recommend the description to be updated to reflect the truth. If it had explained the misaligned guide tabs I still would have bought the battery, but I would be much less annoyed right now.

🤦♂️I was trying my best to get the thing installed and thought I had just misaligned it, nah, its the wrong connector on the end. It will not fit without modification and I have yet to install it
Thanks for your review! We list on the product page that the connector will be a tight fit. However, you should be able to successfully install it with a bit of maneuvering and light pressure. I got a GameBoy Micro dirt cheap as it would not turn on. The blue lights flashed when you plug it in, but nothing else. So I researched, and the first option I got was "dead battery". I rolled the dice and ordered one up from the good folks at Handheld Legend.
The only difficult part of the process was getting the battery plug to sit in the port. I had to use a tiny plastic stick to push it into place. Fired it up and like magic, I was back in business. Very happy so far.
Good in theory, however the little plastic nub on the plug doesn't align with the socket on the Gameboy.
Thanks for your feedback! The fitment is tight as listed on the product page, and you may need to trim a small piece of plastic off the port/tab to get the battery to fit.
The note says tight fit, but the alignment features on this tab are in the middle while they are on the bottom of an OEM Game Boy micro battery’s tab. Not a huge deal if you are willing to stretch the battery connector on the Game Boy micro.
Battery charges, powers device, but was a pain to install, and does not perfectly fit. USing an aftermarket shell, I'm afraid of damaging the devices if I try too hard to close it.
