Amazing product. It is a very high quality screen at a reasonable price. It has multiple color pallets and has a very bright adjustable backlight. I love it in every way. (don't get it wet, mine did and some dark spots appeared but then went away when it dried)

I managed to get this installed into an original DMG-01 without too much trouble. I had to remove a few bits of the case per the instructions and cut a bit of the case back where the “contrast” button sits and that was all the case modifying needed. Soldering the speaker onto the new board was easy enough with the right tools handy. My OCD flared up a bit trying to get the new display perfectly level, so I spent a good deal of time assembling and disassembling and reassembling until I was happy with it. Overall, it is a quality product and I’m very happy with the results and the battery life is still very good with the backlight set to about 3. I can’t wait to have this with me the next time I need to do a lot of traveling. My only complaint would be the battery LED feels bright enough to burn your retina, but for the price- I can’t give this anything less than five stars.

Easy mod to do, everything was packaged well and pretty straightforward. Really enjoy the backlight and 36 color schemes. If you like the feel of the Original Gameboy this is a great mod that’s pretty simple with a tiny bit of soldering involved.

This mod is so stinkin cool!!! Thank you guys for doing this!! All my fam is enjoying the games I grew up on and they’re loving it!! I didn’t realize how spoiled our kids are these days with these newer LCD screens until I put one in my old GameBoy! I can see everything now! It’s so fun!!! I would recommend this mod to anyone!! The directions are easy and almost anyone can do it with a cheap solder gun and your YouTube videos! Thanks again!!!

The bracket the LCD sits on is slanted to the left and I'll have to sand it down so the screen is level. Otherwise it's an awesome product.
