Save Battery Holders for NES SNES N64 - CR2032

these battery holders are unsuitable for use in NES or SNES battery replacements and it is irresponsible if not false advertising to sell them as such. The do not line up with the solder tabs on the boards at all and getting them in there will require modifications that could risk shorts in your game cart that could damage the games or systems if not done correctly. Just because they fit cr2032 doesn't mean they are applicable for use as holders in these carts, I havent the energy to try this on an n64 cart but given they use the same battery mounting style as the NES and SNES I will assume they wont work there either.

I got a couple of these to see if they would work for the CMOS battery in a GameCube. The negative side is just a hair too wide to fit through the board, but you can cut it a tiny bit and it will work :)

The black one works on genesis (was used on NHL 96 which is a EA cartridge), but it is not made well at all. The tabs need to be bent for the through holes and god help you because they can break. The one tab seen in the image is short and makes it harder for it stay in place in the through holes when soldering. To make it worse the battery needs to be pressed against the metal side then pushed down under the plastic tabs and it does not stay in there very well. After putting the case together it was fine. Either find something else, go back to the non battery holder or buy extras incase something breaks.
