Hand Held Legend (HHL) was founded in 2013 with a soldering iron, a folding table, and a passion for retro gaming. What began as a personal mission to revive childhood consoles has grown into the premier online destination for high-quality retro handheld mods, parts, and upgrades. From Game Boy to Game Gear and beyond, we help gamers bring their favorite systems back to life—stronger, brighter, and better than ever.

Our Ultimate Consoles are a true labor of love. These fully modded systems are built from original Game Boy and Game Gear hardware, refurbished by hand and upgraded with the best modern components: IPS displays, custom shells, USB-C charging, and more. Plug and play, no soldering required. They represent the highest quality modding experience we offer—and a bridge between nostalgia and modern performance.

Our Space
