WARNINGS:

  • Test before installation! When you receive a backlight/LCD kit, you should perform a dry run before installing to assure that nothing has been damaged in transit. A dry run or test fit means the kit is not installed in the shell. This includes the use of adhesives, brackets, and any performed soldering. All ribbon cables should have no bends or creases in them. If you are unsure how to perform a dry run, please contact our support team and we will be happy to help. Backlight kits that have been installed are not eligible for replacement or return.

  • LCD may break if put under too much pressure or dropped. Please exercise extreme caution when installing.

Dead Pixels and Miscolored Blobs

If you need a new screen, might want to source from somewhere else. First screen broke, so I ordered two new ones. First one checked had discolored blobs and a constellation of dead pixels, second one has fewer dead pixels, so it's the lesser of two evils.

IPS Q5 Replacement

I was honestly bummed out that my Q5 LCD was busted from the box but I emailed back and forth to troubleshoot and when we found out it wasn’t going to work they immediately sent me a replacement. The customer service was awesome, thank you!

Much like other reviewers here, I too attempted to remove my screen to swap shells. And it didn't go well, so I headed to HHL asap for a replacement. As HHL says with their screen listings, test the screen when it arrives before installation! I did just that, and sadly the replacement I ordered had a couple blotches. But have no fear HHL's got your back! I reached out and they quickly got back to me and shipped out a replacement for the replacement, haha. These folks are wonderful. The second one they sent is in good standing and my DMG mod is now complete :)
