Replacement Shell for Game Boy Advance - Laminated IPS/ITA - Funnyplaying

This paired with the laminated ITA display is phenomenal. The shell isn't exactly on par with the official shells but it's certainly close enough and eliminates so much work in cutting a shell to fit the laminated display. Just be warned, if you have a translucent shell the display will leak light into the corners of the screen, but that can be fixed with some electrical tape in the right places. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend going this route unless you don't like the color choices provided. (The shell in the picture is Fluorescent green, it glows in the dark, and it glows even brighter if you have an LED mod installed.)

The laminated ips is the way to go for sure. Although, whoever puts these orders together needs to be more closely watched or at least checked after. Didn't receive the correct bracket and no foam to place the touch sensor. I just soldered the wires so it all works. I just don't know why it's so hard to get the right parts. Almost every time I order there is something wrong or missing. Get it together guys.....

Very happy with this shell over all, clear was not my first choice but now that I have it I am very happy.

Another review calls out the Touch Bar not being responsive, I don’t have that issue, but I did follow directions that recommends cutting a piece of the foam that comes with the display and wedge the Touch Bar up against the screen.

I hope more come in stock soon as I would love to build one of each. I would also like to see an aluminum version of this shell be released in the future.

The touch capability to change the brightness doesn’t seem to always work. I did try and reposition it to see if that helps but it works about the same. But in the end the screen is very nice and the color looks amazing. This screen really gave new life to an old game
