Definitely a noticeable improvement over the annoying usb powered hdmi converter. Overall image is sharper and design is way more convenient!

Great cable

I am very impressed with this cable. Picture comes in crisp and clear, feels as though it makes use of the gamecube's composite and widescreen settings, and not needing a power cable attatched to it is wonderful. I found there's no button delay either.

If you have low standards and are desperate for hdmi on the n64, buy this cable

...otherwise, stay away. The image is stretched and locked at one resolution and there is a checker board pattern on everything. I was so distracted by the garbage artifacts this cable generated, i went back to my composite cables and threw away the cable. Don't waste your money on this cable.

The issue may have been with your TV's resolution/settings not agreeing with the cable. In the future, I'd recommend not throwing away the product as we could have done some troubleshooting to see if we could resolve the issue.
