- Remove the two black plastic pieces from the legs before soldering.
- Align with top of the board for best fit.
- Does not support audio capabilities. It is for charging only.

I was able to install it and get it to work on the original DS, I assumed it would work since it's the same charge port as the GBA SP, and I'm glad it did work.
I really like the mod overall! Install was relatively easy and the advantage of USBC chaging is well worth it. Though as a user I'd recommend more/better pictures for the tutorial the site offers. I think I could have aligned the port a lot better if I had slotted the alignment brackets properly from the beginning, which I did not do as I personally felt the guide did not give me a totally clear image of the installation process.
works perfectly, Tip: use the two black rubber pieces to hold it in place while you solder the top side first, then remove and continue soldering.
Incredible mod that makes it way easier to charge the SP. I have tested it and it works with USB A - C cables, C to C cables, as well as my 45w Steam Deck charger. The included spacer looks great too.
The installation was not too hard, I am a very novice solderer and this was my first time soldering anything other than a wire to a pad, and the most difficult part was removing the old port. I recommending having some flux and solder wick handy for this one.
If you are stuck looking for a usb-c mod for you gba sp look no further this is the one it i compatible with c to c cables unlike the funny playing one and if you are worrying about if you need a different shell you do not need to worry you do not need to get one it works with the og shells
