These IPS ready Game Boy Advance shells by Retrosix have ultra transparent color style and smooth texture. The fit, feel and tolerance on the RetroSix ABS shell is better than the original. The plastic is much stronger and free of any defects like those you get on injection-molded shells.

We recommend only pairing these shells with RetroSix button sets. Triggers from any other company may have fitment issues with shell.
Shell can still be used for regular GBAs without IPS screens. Just purchase regular sized screen lens and be aware of having to position/secure the original screen down centered in view due to the opening being larger than normal.
Not recommended/compatible with Laminated LCD kits.
There is no logo on these shells.
The shells feature self-threading screws as the screw posts are not pre-threaded. To avoid damage, do not over-tighten, as this may cause cracks. Refunds are not given in these instances.

Absolutely gorgeous shell. Threading the screws was easier than expected. FYI, the shell is a major fingerprint magnet.

Good quality

The shell looks great. I had read many reviews about the screws being “bad quality” and the holes in the shell stripping but I was careful when installing the screws and had no problem despite it being my first time modding a gameboy. I would totally buy again and recommend to others.

High Quality Shells

So far I’ve built a game boy advance using both the crystal clear and the crystal clear black shell. Both were of high quality and look/feel amazing. Strong **** posts as well when using the provided hardware. 2 shells and zero stripped posts is a pretty good record for aftermarket shells. These are great and I’ll continue to purchase as long as the quality remains. When working on the inside, I recommend the use of gloves so you don’t leave fingerprints on the inside of the shell.

Wrong star rating.

Meant to give 1 star. It’s awful and cracked with absolutely minimum pressure. They won’t replace it. And only offer 10% off on another. So whack. Essentially all money wasted for this build since Ips was already installed. They didn’t even comment to me telling them that either. Terrible customer service all around.

Thanks for your review! We let you know that the area that had been broken, d-pad area of the top half of the shell, is an area of the shell with extra reinforcement. We did our own testing in a video we sent you on a used shell, to demonstrate that even with a lot of force, we were still unable to break that area. This is why we were unable to process a full replacement and a 10% off the shell courtesy coupon was offered.

Nice shell with retro vibes!

Nice sturdy plastic. Everything went into place with ease. I installed an IPS screen, clicky triggers, a volume amp, and the usb power options with absolutely no issues at all. Shell looks and feels fantastic. The plastic is slick to the touch. Very happy with my purchase and as always, love handheld legend.
