Replacing the old caps in your DMG should be essential - the OEM ones are very old now and can potentially leak and cause damage to your board. It can also cause other issues that can potentially lead to a non-working DMG, or lead to smaller issues like lots of noise and grime on the headphone output. With desoldering wick and simple soldering skills I found replacing them all to be pretty easy! The components are rather big compared to modern components, so I feel like someone relitively new to soldering would be able to do this. The thing works like a dream now and the audio out is noticeably more crisp and "bass-y". Highly recommended for any DMG, modded or not! Keep your DMGs healthy!

Exactly that, great replacement capacitors. Exactly what I needed for my gameboy. I didn’t have any issues with said gameboy before, but I always replace the caps with more modern ones to prevent issues in the future. These will get that job done well.

This is a very high quality capacitor kit. Each is the correct specifications and size. Takes time to replace (desolder and resolder), but totally worth it! Fixed a power issue and screen contrast issue that I had.

Good product that does the job nicely, the tantalum caps are especially nice. The only downside was that the caps were taped together and thus a bit tricky to "release" without using force. Just make sure to be careful!
