Amazing sound, but a new CleanPower Regulator is a must

The sound is so much louder and crisper with a new speaker, but at the 75% mark my DMB would shut off due to a failing regulator board. It was fine with just an IPS LCD, but it couldn't handle the output. Once I installed the regulator everything was great! (scratching is my volume wheel needing Deoxit, it's not the mod)

Loud and clean

Like other reviews have mentioned it draws too much power for the stock DMG above about 70%, would like to see a suggested solution for this recommended on the store page for this mod. As long as you don't turn it up too far though, the sound is great. I did have some strange issue where I was only getting one channel, but after fiddling with it a bit I got it working reliably; seems like something was getting pinched when closing the shell.
Worth noting that this doesn't effect the volume levels of the headphone jack.

Amp'd up sound!

Much louder than OEM, cleaner to a point, definitely grab a new replacement speaker to go along with this... But BE WARNED! Turning the volume up last around 70% will result in the amp drawing too much power from an OEM power board. There are options to fix this, and would highly recommend doing one of those alongside this mod.

I noted a moderately easier install when pre tinning the pads on the clean amp and adding a little more solder to the points on the board vs not doing it. The install video is very helpful as I chose to ignore his method on one DMG just to see.

Amazing audio output

Paired with a new speaker the audio is perfect. You don’t need to run it at full volume to play in a noisy room
