A USB Type C PCB mod for the Game Boy Advance SP console. A 3D printed spacer can be added for additional charge.

Installation went smoother than expected

This was the third time I'd ever had to solder something. All of the tutorials I saw on YouTube used a heat gun but I was able to make it work without. The removal of the old port was about 95% of the project and once that was out of the way, installation went super smooth!

pretty simple to install if you watch the youtube video

i thought i was gonna have trouble installing these usb-c ports since im new to soldering, but the youtube video by handheld legend helped me find out what im supposed to do.

Works Perfectly, no issues

What is unclear, and I'm hesitant to test myself, is whether I can use a super fast charger on this USB-C mod, normal fast charging works, but I'm curious about super fast charging.

this mod was a challenge to install, I ended up running a jumper to the pins on the USB-C but it works rather nicely, the 3D printed filler was a little small so I needed to super glue it in place but overall I'm very happy with how it came out.
