Game Boy Advance "For Nintendo" IPS Modified Prestige Shell - RetroSix - Clearance

It's good for a sprayed shell, but it has RetroSix branding on the front of the shell. You don't see it in the promotional pictures, but it's there.

Its good as far as quality but if you’re looking for a pure white or a cool white color i would go with the Funnyplaying Shell rather than this one. This one is more of a “Off white” or fish scale cocaine white. Still a good shell. Install was easy.

I bought a used Game Boy Advance for my 6 year old son from a pawn shop for Christmas. It was in really rough shape with a lot of scratches on the shell and on the lens that covers the screen and also the battery cover was broken (had to be taped on) I ordered an IPS screen mod kit and also the new shell and all the buttons. I followed the simple instructions in the YouTube video for the installation and it works and looks fantastic! My boy was extatic when he opened his refurbished Game Boy Advance complete with carrying case from Amazon and Super Mario World! Thank you Hand Held Legend! You genuinely live up to your name!

It's not amazing, it's not unusable, it's just okay. I got the red one, and the plastic is nearly translucent. It seems of a much less sturdy and more brittle plastic. One must be especially careful when **** the shell together by not only backing the **** in and out to avoid breaking the posts, but also by avoiding overtightening the screws or you will see light spots on the outside of the shell where there is just too much stress on such brittle plastic. For the price, I suppose one should expect as much, though it is not unusable. My main gripe is that something must be just slightly off, because the outer edges of the shell, especially around the side pieces and the L and R buttons do not want to fully close. There is a noticeable gap between the buttons and the shell and one of the side pieces can move fairly loosely. Nothing is falling out, which again is not unusable, but is noticeable. As for the "for nintendo", it's kind of funny, but honestly a little tacky, though it was my choice to purchase this particular product so that's really my problem not retrosix's. All in all, it looks okay, and does what it needs to do, though I really hope there is a brand that uses a plastic more similar to oem, because that would be preferred. Thanks and best wishes.

The shell is good quality and works well with the IPS screen. I didn’t need to modify the shell at all. But the pictures make the shell look flat white while in real life it’s almost a sparkly pink. Even the Ultimate WhiteOut model uses the pearl white shell but it looks flat in those pictures too. I was disappointed in the color difference but as a plastic shell, it does the job.

Love this case. The pearl finish is so nice and the color is very vibrant. Easy to assemble. My only gripe is that the very top of the case (adjacent to the cartridge slot) doesn’t fit perfectly snug along the seam, but it’s minimal. Probably a result of there being no screw in the middle.
