Game Boy Advance Laminated IPS Shell - Hispeedido

I am not a fan of this shell. I bought it because it is the only option for the Hispeedido laminated display, which I think ranks up there with the Funnyplaying ITA as possibly the best GBA display. However, the plastic feels cheaper than the original OEM shell and the Funnyplaying laminated shell. The buttons and dpad sit looser in the shell as well, like the shell was designed for taller buttons and dpad. This causes the buttons to rattle a lot and when you press on them you are pressing them into the shell too far. It isn't pleasant or satisfying and reduces the quality of the overall package. Because of these issues, I decided to carefully trim my OEM shell with a dremel and an X-acto knife which was a little tedious, but it worked out. In my opinion either stick with the Funnyplaying ITA and a Funnyplaying shell or trim your OEM shell if you want to use the Hispeedido laminated display.

There are gaps when I put it together

I appreciate how many different colors are available but the shells are a little brittle (though this could be a quality of transparent plastic in general but still be aware). When installing screws, I discovered the **** ports aren't threaded so it will take a little bit of work to get the screws in. Over all, despite those factors, the quality and aesthetics are what you would want. The IPS installation sat perfectly flush with the case which really makes the whole unit feel very premium!

Shell feels pretty good in quality, Only issue i ran into with it is butons are loose. And dont use the membranes provided in the kit. They dont have the same clickiness the OG provides. Only went with this due to the hispeedo V5 Screen. Even if shell isnt my favorite makes it worth it to have that screen!

I paired this orange Hispeedido shell with the 3.0-inch laminated IPS kit, and the result is incredible. The shell feels high-quality and the orange really pops—it has completely revamped my GBA and made it look brand new again. The fitment was spot on for the laminated screen, making the install smooth and satisfying. I couldn't be happier with how this build turned out!

The ips screen fit great. But the screws went in very tight and the side bumpers are loose. The shell cracked at the corner of the screen after 2 days. Im pretty sure it's from the pressure from the **** holes not being right and it binding. The A button is very loose even with the new rubber backing behind the button. Not very happy with it but, the only choice for hispeedido screens.
