This power supply replaces the Dreamcast's original power supply, and is an easy solution for a failing power board.

FEATURES:

Included power brick introduces video noise

Low quality PSU has video noise as the noise reduction of the DreamPSU is minimum. The unit itself is well built and works as expected. In my case needed a 220v compatible PSU for my 110v unit, otherwise would keep the original. Either a different PSU or a better quality ac adapter.

Great upgrade to the original power supply!

It’s very easy to install and will keep my console alive for the foreseeable future! My only issue with it is the power adapter is very short.

Poor Quality 12v PSU

I bought two of these. The included 12v AC adapter is pretty low quality. The cord is VERY short. The real problem though, is that it introduces noise/interference in the video, basically rendering the package useless. I replaced the included AC adapter with a Triad WSU120-3000. It fixed the interference issue but I still have concerns with the design of the DreamPSU.

I've heard the ReDream is a better design.

Poor reliability

Got it 3 or 4 years ago and it worked fine until it didn't. Started causing issues with choppy music and then random restarts. Not sure if it is the power supply or the internal board. I replaced it with the original PSU and now it works fine again.

I could possibly love it more. Absolutely anyone can easily install this. Completely outfitted to easily install plug and play style. No soldering, no hassle.
