With all the modern modifications you can now do to your retro consoles, one of the things that often happens is the fuses on the motherboards pop. This can be due to the increased load, faults on the circuit boards, high power mods or just age/damage. Test if your fuse has blown or not, and consider a new replacement.

When over 1.25A current is drawn this fuse will disconnect all power to the system, and after a period it has cooled down it will reset itself and continue to work until the next time it is over-current. Think of it as an automatically resetting trip switch. You will never have to replace your fuse as this one does not blow apart it simply temporarily disconnects.

Bought 4 sets of fuses. Fixed roughly 5 gameboys so far.

Used on a Gameboy Color

Replaced F1 and F2 fuses for a Gameboy Color. These fuses did the job however they are a lot smaller than the original GBC fuses. These fuses are smaller than a grain of rice and really easy to lose if you are not careful. If its your first time installing small fuses you might want get tweezers and the thinnest solder available if you dont own that already.

It is a fuse, it does fuse things correctly, it fixed my gba, that is all.

One fuse de-lidded/split in half as soon as I tried wetting one side to the pad, ended up having to solder bridge one set of fuse pads (F2, NDSL). The one that didn't split seems to work though.
