Doesn’t cover the entire screen, creates a weird border. Within the shell giving it a “frame within a frame” feeling.
Thanks for your review! The lens purchased here is a Q5 lens that is only meant to be paired with Q5 LCD kits. The Q5 LCD has a larger viewing window than other IPS mods and original LCD's. You are seeing that yellow shell boarder due to the fact that shells need to be modified in the first place to utilize the full viewing window of the Q5 LCD. Please reach out to us at support@handheldlegend.com and I'd be happy to point you in the direction of the lens needed for your current LCD.
Didn't fit well on my Pokemon 'Game Boy Color IPS UV Printed Shell Only | IPS Modified'. Popped it off w/ a suction cup 2-3 times to get it as best I could but no amount of wrangling could get it to sit flush. Looks trivial but annoying, I guess make sure you go with the 'pairs well' section on that case's description page b/c this is the 4th screen I've bought from HHL and this is the only one I've had issues with.

Couldn't imagine doing a screen upgrade without putting on a glass lens. These things are well made and install effortlessly.
I don't normally write too many reviews but I figured that this IPS screen is good enough to brag about. This screen is so good that I've bought it twice for two GBC mods for friends. Great screen, fairly easy install. My only advice is to make sure you buy the 3d printed brackets for it (also sold on the site) and find a youtube tutorial on where to cut inside the shell to ensure a perfect fit. The cutting is the only tedious part of the install but if you have a good x-acto knife, and about 45 minutes of spare time, you'll get through it no problem.

Game Boy Color IPS Q5 OSD Glass Screen Lens
It’s a little bit more work than other products, requiring some soldering and trimming (if you use an original shell like me) but I love the extra features and on screen display. I really love being able to toggle to greyscale for when I’m playing original gameboy games.
