Nintendo DS Lite and Game Boy Macro RetroGlow RGB LED Flex Board

It's very easy to solder and looks great, the lights are very pretty and it's awesome for modifying your Nintendo. I don't give it 5 stars because the flexible plate causes a loss of sensitivity in one or more buttons and sometimes causes them to not work correctly.

All of the contacts soldered easily except the ground contact. I don’t know it was the motherboard or rgb flex board but it wouldn’t solder together and I had to get creative

I don't know if mine is the only one that is broken, but when I first installed it, it lit up for a moment, but then I had to keep pressing the select button to get it to light up, or after that it didn't light up at all. I contacted support but no response. Don't buy this one. The sensitivity of the switch is very poor when you install this kit in the first place. In my case, the right side of the cross key did not respond no matter how many times I tried.

Works great, easy to hook up. Was not able to get it work in conjunction with helders macro amp mod, just FYI for those wondering.

Ordered this along with a set of clear membranes (which I didn't end up using as the stock opaque ones do a better job of diffusing and spreading out the light). Arrived flat, and was easy to solder - I especially liked that the designer even has some soldering advice videos on YouTube! My only constructive feedback would be if printed instructions for the operation of the lights could be included, was a little annoying having to search online for them each time I wanted to try to change something.

So was a fairly easy install, alignment was a little challenging. Takes some finessing but doable with patience. I had the issue with button sensitivity being bad on mostly the A B X Y buttons, I found a way to fix that. I had a button kit that came with little rubber pads for the upper screen. Which I didn’t need since I have a macro build. So I took the little square flat pads and tucked them under the buttons and viola instant fix. Buttons feel good and responsive. If this kit came with some button spacers or buttons with a raised portion in the middle that makes the membrane contact the connectors better that would be ideal to make this a great easy diy project. Other than the buttons I absolutely love this. The menu is a little confusing but I got it setup the way I like. I give this kit a 9/10 because of the button issue.
