Split DPad Set - Switch Pro Controller - ProGCC

Absolutely would recommend if you use the dpad for any games.

Single piece D pads are so frustrating! I cannot tell you how much I love this innovation. My players have clocked 6+ hours a day for the last week on this, playing platformers. All of my personal PROGCCV3 and PHOB2.0.5s are getting the upgrade! The only issue I can forsee is that the buttons are held in place by the dpad membrane. I swapped my new HHL membrane out for an older OEM and there was a little more lateral wiggle but still no musinputs. Either way. . . I can never go back to that awful OEM D button. Thanks for knocking another one out of the park HHL!

The OEM dpad is super prone to pressing multiple directions, so naturally splitting the buttons up is a reasonable upgrade. Makes me understand why playstation never tried one piece dpads.

The only gripe i have is mostly with my own performance, as flicking the stick down and to the right might risk me pressing the dpad up button. This is inherent to pro controllers, but nonetheless important when considering what pad youre playing on for fast paced titles.

I recently bought this off their eBay store. So I decided to come over here and review this. Anyways a lot of people have been complaining. About the Nintendo switch pro d-pad including myself. And even though Nintendo used to make great d-pads. And Nintendo switch pro is the worst. However I think handheld Legends made an amazing d-pad replacement. Not only is it split but it fixes the issue. Let the Nintendo switch pro controller d-pad was having. Which was missing inputs especially on 2D games. So after testing the split d-pad on some 2D titles. I come to say this this is really a great replacement. Almost as close to the 8-bitdo dpad found on the ultimate Bluetooth controller. It would be nice if there was more black options. But the transparent one really works great regardless. Yes you do have to take apart the controller. And there are instructions on that online. But it didn't take me long to take apart. Replace it with the split and put it back together. So yes this is a great replacement for the Nintendo switch pro d-pad. Do I hope Nintendo fixes the switch pro 2 controller d-pad. Yes but I have no plans on purchasing that whatsoever. Either way handheld Legends really did a great job with this. I definitely will give this five stars.
