Fantastic Device

I’m loving the purchase. It was a bit expensive but it’s a quality piece of equipment, and the screen is just beautiful. I’ve been playing a bunch of older games on it and enjoying it. The back lit screen is a big plus at night too. I wish it came with a manual though, since it turns out you can adjust brightness by holding select and pressing L or R.

I was a little apprehensive spending three hundred dollars on a gameboy. I thought about getting a switch or some retro-emulator type console or a steamdeck but really all I wanted was to play my GBA games on a really nice console. I previously bought a custom back-lit gameboy advance from a seller that had good reviews on Etsy. However, I found that there were just little things about the build quality that bothered me. Enter Hand Held Legend... I saw them talked about on a youtube video and took the plunge despite the high price and holy cow...!!! This gameboy is incredible. All the build quality you would expect for the price point and then some. It is USB-C charging but that charge port is on the bottom so it does not interfere with the link cable at the top. The buttons feel good, the material feels premium, the screen is perfect. I am a perfectionist when it comes to these things and these guys nailed it.

Pretty Good

Over all I really like the system. I’ve only had it a few weeks and I’m starting to notice dust under the screen there is a gap at the top of the screen and the shell and I don’t know how to fix it

I got this system about 2 weeks ago and it’s amazing. The screen is clear and colorful and the Battery life is outstanding. It lasts forever. If you buy one I promise you won’t regret it.

If you want a GBA in 2023, then you should get one of these GBA Ultimates from Hand Held legend; it is a quality product and all the upgrades make this system a joy to play. I tested every part of the system and was pleased to find everything worked perfectly. At $300, the GBA Ultimate is a good deal when you consider the cost of a used GBA on eBay and all the upgrades. As an added bonus, the box it comes with makes a protective storage case. Also, the customer service from Hand Held Legend is great. This product is definitely worth it.
