Works great, and looks nice in my black translucent shell.

Can't compare it to the stock because I used it in a DMG that I wasn't previously working and I haven't heard a DMG Gameboy in a couple of decades. But, this sounds great with Tetris and Pokemon.

This sounds much better than the OEM speaker and it's only two dots of solder to install.

The FunnyPlaying DMG clear speaker is exactly what I was looking for. A high-quality replacement speaker that fits correctly.

I previously purchased a generic replacement speaker that was too large. It fit in the front shell, but the back of the speaker was tall enough that the front and rear halves of the housing would not close fully.

The FunnyPlaying speaker has none of those problems. It fits correctly and matches the dimensions of the OEM speaker. I am not using this in a clear housing, so the fact that it is clear does not matter much in my application. However it did look really nice before I put the game boy back together. I installed in on a BennVenn 3” Backlit LCD board.

Installed this in my clear DMG and it is LOUD. Got a noise complaint from roommates cause it was overpowering their iphone speaker, looks great in an og clear gameboy without the haze.

I like the speaker its louder than the stock speaker, worth it.
