Good but improvable

The main purpose of this product is to be an input device with minimal lag and no snapback issues for games such as Smash - which it definitely achieves.

I also like the customizable deadzones and the LEDs.

However the feel of the face buttons could be better and, most importantly, it has THE WORST D-pad I have ever experienced in a controller: impossible to use without misinputs, an "Up" becomes "Left" or "Right" at random. Even navigating menus with it is impossible.
I have mitigated the issue by putting adhesive tape over part of the contacts, but it is still somewhat present.

Thanks for your feedback! The issue you are experiencing with the d-pad is a problem with the original Pro Controller from Nintendo. The aftermarket products/d-pad are molded after that original Pro Con. We have created a product called 'Split D-pad' that helps resolve this issue and we would highly recommend this for you. For the face buttons, we would recommend using OEM style membranes/original Pro Controller membranes which should help, however, these will mute the LEDs a little. I really like this controller, the gyro controls, buttons, and sticks all feel great. The customizations and configurations avaliable with Hoja 2 are also really nice.

Worthwhile investment for games where you want the Pro GCC layout

I ended up buying this and a gc ult to see which one I would like better, and while I did prefer the gc ult for platform fighters, for just overall use in other games the pro gcc has been a great controller to use. I've been mainly using it in its mainly retro console modes (snes, nes etc.) to play old sidescrollers or speedrun games like super mario world and the split dpad on it has been fantastic, if I wasn't going back to running on an actual snes controller this would of been my favorite stand in. If you're looking for a jack of all trades controller for shooters, platformers and older titles this is a pretty good solution! If you're looking for something to replace a gcc for smash I think the flexibility of the gc ultimate with being able to have the triggers the way you want it and the bald buttons are the way to go however, but preference is preference and I think the ultimate set of do everything controllers would be this, a gc ultimate and a fightstick or leverless stick that you enjoy to cover all your bases!

Battery life is alright, other wise the controller is great!

Great Upgrades for a Great Controller.

Having fun with the it, works as it should and happy that it gets firmware updates to make more improvements.
