IPS ready for DMG IPS LCD backlight mods including Q5 Displays.
Battery housing inside is pre-trimmed for Cleanjuice DMG rechargeable battery module. Battery cover does not have USB-C cut out. Purchase separately.
Extra wide window for IPS GBA Glass and Tempered Glass Lens.
Entirely backwards compatible - Normal sized LCD fits as well as AA batteries.
Compatible with original buttons and some after-market buttons.

A majority of these shells will no longer have the "For Nintendo Game Boy" text as they are being phased out. Please reach out to support to confirm if your chosen variant will have the logo.
The shells feature self-threading screws as the screw posts are not pre-threaded. To avoid damage, do not over-tighten, as this may cause cracks. Refunds are not given in these instances.

Solid quality

It’s very straight forward, plug and play for ips color screens. Ive assembled dozens of these without a single issue. %99 recommended

Great quality, Fits the Hispeedido IPS Q5 perfectly... Had to trim the small edge next to the contrast wheel only. Ur also has the battery contacts, shield plate, screws, and a matching cable cover.
The 2 things I wish it has were a power button and the Nintendo Game Boy logo

Very good shell, one minor complaint.

Everything fit nicely. My only complaint is that it says it is pre-trimmed for, and pairs well with, the rechargeable battery pack but the battery lid does not have the USB-C cutout, which you cannot see in the photos. I had to order the extra pre-cut lid after I saw this, which delayed my build. I think there should be a note on the page for this, or include rear photos of the shells. Maybe offer it as an upcharge on this page when ordering the shell?

Arrived safely and well packaged. Much nicer quality than some of the cheap shells out there.

Excellent! Except....

The **** holes, they were very tight. Although it could be the fact that I used potentially thicker screws instead of the included ones. Overall very nice and perfect!
