I love FunnyPlaying and have used them for many of my builds, but for some reason, their silicone pads aren't as good as OEM and it shows. The D-PAD is simply not as sensitive with them and they are a little firmer than originals. Not a defective set as I bought 3, but something to note for a future GBA build.

I will always recommend silicone pad replacements for any mod. They’re cheap and you will FEEL the difference.

I got the clear set. Seem to work as well as any other set after 200hr. Works well with the led button mod too.

I have not had god luck with funnyplaying membranes. I bought a set here to try to resolve a membrane issue I had on one of my GBAs. Unfortunately while it resolved one button issue, the D-pad is the problem. That is 2 funnyplaying D-Pads that I've been disappointed with. They always seem to have a response issue on one of the directions. I found the prestige D-Pad to work better.

A great replacement silicone set for when you need to replace the OEM or match a color theme for a clear shell.

The up button on the dpad is making a false contact due to how squishy the silicone is. Would not recommend.
