Overview: GC Ultimate 2 is Hand Held Legend's second-generation GC-style controller, built on everything learned from the original GC Ultimate, a favorite among Smash players since 2024. GCU 2 keeps the drift-free TMR sticks, split D-pad, and open-source firmware that made the original a hit, and adds an upgraded wireless chip, Switch 2 compatibility, a new wired-only option, and new colorways. Funded on Kickstarter in February 2026, on track to ship Q4 2026.

Split D-pad.
Dual IMU motion sensors for cleaner gyro aim.
Swappable octagonal/circular gate plate, no soldering.
Hall effect analog triggers (With the classic dual-stage press).
RGB underlighting.
USB-C wired or wireless with the new upgraded chip.
Offline browser-based config app (Windows/Mac/Linux/Android) for remapping, deadzones, and per-console profiles.
Fully open-source firmware (Hoja) and 3D files on GitHub.

Compatibility: Switch, Switch 2, PC/Steam, Android/iOS*, plus GC/N64/SNES/NES via passthrough cables. XInput and native Slippi both at 1000Hz.

* Android and iOS are supported only with Switch mode via Bluetooth. USB mode compatibility varies on Android
