- The CleanPower replaces the original power regulator PCB of the Game Boy Color with a modern smooth and healthy power supply. This provides a clean, stable and efficient 5V line to the system to keep the lifespan of your console at it's best.
- To install, see images. Simply de-solder the old power regulator and solder the CleanPower in the same place as the original regulator.
- The input range of the CleanPower on VIN is 2.5V to 12V. This gives modders a much wider range if they want to install 2S lipo kits!

NOTES:
- The CleanPower only supports most modern screens and does not provide the voltages for the original screens. If you want to use the original screen simply leave the original regulator in place. You will need to cut the top right pin on the original regulator (Pin 7 when looking at the console from the button side. See photos for details), however this will vary by user. Then the old regulator will supply the LCD voltages, and the CleanPower will supply the bulk system power for the console.

I got this and installed it on my gbc. it works but only that. I also have the helder power regulator. just don't buy this one and get the Helder one. the Helder has a tantalum cap that COMPLETLY removes the hum and noise from ips and flash cart mods. helder is more thought out and complete. American made is the way to go!!!
Get yourself some flux, a good solder sucker (I recommend Vampire Tools from Japan), and pop out that old regulator with no problems. Clean up the board, and this puppy installs like a dream. I've used it in several builds for clients, powering the CleanAmp audio mod with Natalie's LED board and a FunnyPlaying Q5 IPS LCD on two AA batteries with ZERO issues. Looks clean, plays clean. Just do it.
Did a clear/white gbc build and the old regulator was uggin up my aesthetics. Clean power replacement looks and functions beautifully. Video guide was super easy to follow and even though im not new to soldering it was awesome to see in depth tips on how to remove old parts. Huge thank you to the developers, you guys rock.
Recently modernized my OG gameboy color from
my childhood with the 2.0 q5 IPS LCD screen, this power regulator, clean amp and new speaker + clear green shell + white buttons and green led. The gameboy is a complete work of art now! Yes being a first timer I had a hard time soldering it all together but most of this was due to the amplifier.. the main issue I have is when the batteries go low (you’ll go through a lot of batteries) the gameboy glitches out pretty bad. I love the results the screen is perfect.. I can’t speak much about the results of adding this clean power regulator as I’m a rookie and wouldn’t even know how the gameboy would be if I didn’t install this mod..
Works flawlessly, no issues with my Hispeedo OLED display. I mounted mine in the front cause I'm running the FunnyPlaying rechargeable lipo battery mod board on the back.
These are necessary when modding and relatively easy to install. In some situations the original regulator isn't needed, so I put mine in front. And luckily, that makes it compatible with Funny Playing's battery mod :)
