these are a perfect replacement for the old brittle wires that sometimes cause a problem because they were stationary for 30 years until we disturbed them while repairing and or modifying the game gear so now I just replace them whenever I open a new game gear up just because why not that's why!
My OEM cables worked fine, but I wanted a cleaner look with my see through shell and wanted better power delivery to the CleanAmp and CleanPower boards. I know these cables can fail sometimes as well. It requires some soldering skills to get these out of the board.
