This item is perfect and has brought my old N64 controller back to life. My brother bought it for me out of nostalgia knowing it was non-functional, but for $20 I bought this Hall Effect GameCube controller and replacement silicon pads from Hand Held Legend and and happy to report back that my N64 controller is now as good as new. Used recently to replace the stick on my pikachu n64 controller since it was flopping based on gravity. Feels great on games like ridge racer and presumably other games, detection seems also to be extremely good. Just a heads up if you have bad eyesight like me it is hard to see where to insert inside of a Japanese controller.
This is hands down one of the best feeling thumbstick I've ever experienced. Installation was very straight forward and works perfectly with every game I've tested so far.
Playing with my N64 controllers with this new installment is much more comfortable like it should’ve been when the controller first released. This is basically how the N64 controllers should have always been.
