Required a little modification to the original gameboy but was super easy (just took my time). Looks amazing and so much better than before!

I partially went into the checkout process to check in the shipping costs for one item. My browser automatically filled in my contact information including my e-mail. I never pressed a button to continue from this point or save this information but still I started receiving spam through a third party linked to Hand Held Legend within a short moment. I did notice the newsletter checkbox in their checkout system is checked by default.

In the EU this behavior would be illegal, maybe not in the U.S. But no matter the legality, it's immoral.

Okay so the story begins by me ordering a package, with basically a new IPS screen, and some buttons and some other stuff.
What happend is: the package got send to the wrong address, even to the wrong POSTAL code.
after some emailing they told me to just return the package since there is no way for me, or the postal office to correct the adress. So i did.
Im sure everything would be fine, so i ordered a second package with a battery that you can charge.
Same thing happend here. wrong address. wrong postal code.... so back to returning it.

about 2-ish months pass and finally the second package arrives! BUT WHERE IS THE FIRST?!
after taking contact they told me ''just wait, it can take a while for the package to arrive back with us, we will contact you soon''

we are 3 months in now and there has been absolute silence from then.
this is getting silly at this point, i contacted them again before i wrote this review.

At this point it is becoming an absolute nightmare.
if they do not solve this issue soon, im simply gonna take legal action because this is not how your treat your customers.

Highly suggest NOT to buy anything from this company as with the time of writing..

I bought a couple of things from Hand Held Legend, it was my first time buying from them so I made sure to do a good amount of research online, I bought the IPS V2 screen for my GBA SP as well as a new shell, and battery + charger. I was happy with everything, it all seems to be good quality as well. No issues, and will be happily ordering from them again in the future.

First time ordering from Hand Held Legend. Let me start with the packaging, it is awesome! I was super excited when I received it. Also, the shipping was faster than expected, and all items arrived protected and in great shape.

I recently got into moding gba's and after watching videos they were my first stop. They had great products with great prices. I paid extra for the 2 day shipping hoping for the package by the weekend but thing were backed up assuming from the covid backup, they had no hesitation in refunding shipping fees ( which alot of companies don't make happen easily). I have told everyone I know that's into retro games about this website and haven't had anyone come back disappointed! Handheld legends are the company to go with!!!

There was a small missing piece in my most recent order (I have placed many, with zero issues). I reached out to support and they got right back to me to send out the missing piece. A+ service.

If I have one tiny nitpick over HHL it would be that some product descriptions lack detail on the site. Nothing to complain about otherwise!

I would highly recommend this store over their competitors. Don't hesitate to order with them!

It matched the plastic of the case it was for very well

The LOCA was a little messy to apply but when it was all said and done, it held very well. I let the screen I was working on sit in a window with plenty of light. It worked out great.

Very easy to install and looking incredible compared to the original. the only down side, of course, is you that it is a bit smaller, but the image is clear and smooth, so you hardly notice

Honestly I have zero complaints. I’m a very busy student. I work 70-80 hours a week so but I’m my downtime I try to still do something productive AND fun. So I started missing gameboys for myself, friends and family. I couldn’t be happier with this website, the community, the products or the help.

I bought from HandHeld Legend after following on Instagram and liking what I saw. Despite Gamboys being technology from three decades ago, HandHeld Legend are still innovating and pushing what can be done with portable gaming. The parts I ordered arrived in a couple of days and they’re obviously well made. They were the final flourish two GBPs I was working on and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Ever item I've received from Hand Held Legend has be a fantastic success. I acquired a refurbished Original (Grey Brick DMG) Game boy, and the first modification I made was ordering a replacement glass screen. I was so happy with the results and improvement in display clarity. That I've ordered a new glass replacement for ever other Gameboy family device I've owned, which is why I ordered a glass Gameboy Pocket screen. The graphics are always crisp and indistinguishable from the originals, unless comparing side-by side, where the glass counter parts are often identical in every way, except sometimes being a hair darker in hue.

No matter how careful I was as a kid with my Game Boy, the plastic screen had gotten some scratches over the years. With the addition of the backlight and the plastic screen adhesive had already once given out, this replacement looks perfect, works perfect, and feels far more durable. "I would definitely buy again" but -- barring any accidents -- I won't need to. Should it get broken, the price is so good I wouldn't hesitate for a second.

Feels like a screwdriver you’d get from a home improvement store and not something from Amazon

Shell worked as intended; and the pcb/motherboard fit in quite nicely only had to use a little bit of sand paper to fix some fitting issues but overall it worked swimmingly.
