Game Boy Save / Game Battery

These are bigger than the stock GBA battery (not sure about dmg cart). If soldered slightly up of the original position it works just fine. Obviously I had to make the mistake of putting it in the factory position then the shell wouldn't lock together because the lip inside the shell hit the bottom of the battery. No big deal, a little reheat and slide and it's good to go but I figured I'd put it out there so y'all don't make the same mistake I did and waste your time. I putting pics up but I don't mind the solder joints, I jacked em up a little when I moved it(I know, excuses right)

From what i researched, the GBA games (Pokemon) use CR1616, this is CR2025. 16/16 means diameter 16mm, battery height 16mm. CR2025 means 20 diameter, 25 height. So it might not fit on GBA because of the cramped space!

As other users have observed, these batteries are larger than stock for many Game Boy cartridges (including the one I replaced in a Game Boy Color cartridge), so if you're concerned about fit or matching the replacement exactly to the original battery's size, open up the cartridge and double-check before ordering. For GBC cartridges, they fit just fine.

The batteries are good to solder right out the package and it was an easy swap in the cartridge I was swapping. Thanks HHL
