This IPS kit overall is good and I'd recommend it, easy install and makes the screen 100x better. Especially given the fact that it's typically the cheapest on the site/goes on sale the most.

However, the screen lens looks cheap in my opinion and I DESPISE the touch sensors. I de-soldered them from the board entirely.

Ordered the replacement. Came defective. Nothing came out of the display at all. I didn’t realize this until it was fully disassembled. There’s adhesives on the screen which, once removed, void any return policy, which is labeled all over. And of course I removed them during setup.

Oh well. I bit the bullet and ordered a different screen from a different supplier, which works great and didn’t need the additional circuit board or connector. Won’t buy from this site again.

This screen is simple to install and looks good. The color adjustment functionality threw me off after final installation and start up. The screen was in grayscale! After remembering the two touch controls at the bottom of the screen, it was a simple fix. The controls can be finicky. Sometimes they will stop making color or brightness changes or are slow to respond. The legacy screen backlight on/off button can be used to adjust the brightness which is nice.

The sensors to change the brightness and color tint are absurdly overly sensitive. I would like to disable them but with a half-dozen layers of electrical tape on the sensors they still pick up my fingers. I have the brightness button connected so the brightness sensor is superfluous and I don't care about the color tint cycling feature at all.

I don't want to physically desolder them because then they'd just be floating and that would likely be even worse.

8 steps for brightness is too many. It should maybe be 3 steps. dim, mid, and bright.

This screen looks good.

I bought two of these screens for my Ags-001's and the difference is phenomenal. I don't know how to nor have the means to solder so I bought these as I was recommended them and I do not regret it. There was some trial and error with the install as I had to move the touch sensors around a little to not constantly activate, but I seem to have them in a perfect spot now. They can be a bit sensitive at times, but it is not as bad as I have read in other reviews. The brightness options are nice, but the higher ones definitely are a battery drain. The color swap isn't something I have any interest in and rarely interact with. All in all, this display is an amazing upgrade and I am very pleased with what I got.

This screen does not have OSD and does not seem to work with the retroglow kit sold.
