I honestly don't know what this charge does, other than I don't think I can get rid of it. It's just an extra $1 fee tacked on to every order and then they send me an email to download a sketchy app to get a tracking code....that eventually gets sent to you anyways.

Please note the following
- Route Protection is ON by default with all of our orders, with the option to remove it at checkout.
- We do not make profit on Route Protection.
- Without Route protection, lost or stolen packages are not covered. This is to protect the customer from losses as once a package leaves our shipping warehouse, it is completely out of our control.

I'm sure it works great if its needed, but I'm under the belief that if the seller wants to make sales online, its on them to guarantee and protect their shipments. You know, full customer service start to finish.
Plenty of other stores offer free shipping with tracking on the same stocked items.
Thanks for your review! This service is an added option to give peace of mind to our customers that if something were to happen to their package, they will be covered and able to receive a replacement package or refund. Many companies use this service to ensure both the customer and company will be covered if something were to occur as shipping errors/delays are common.

Route Package Protection
I placed an order without the protection and one with the protection (months) and they both arrived here in New Zealand. So, I cannot really say if it's better. I actually have no idea what the supposed benefits are. Maybe I should read up on it...oh wait something has my attention...
