Dissapointing and has issues

Motion Has a mind of it's own:
Played it for only 2 days now and (while wired) 3 times has moved crazy far up (likely with motion) without me doing anything. It will then go back to facing normal, but that's the kinda thing that'd get you killed or could lose you a tourney if it happend at the wrong time. All of those times happened in one play session.

Buttons feel inconsistent.
X button and dpad buttons feel very nice, but B and A feel more mushy while Y is better, it's not as good as x and dpad. + and - buttons also don't feel as nice as on the pro controller. Matters quite a bit less, but it's noticeably harder to press so if I wanted to spam it for whatever reason, it wouldn't work well. I'd be more fine with that if the other face buttons were consistently better. Overall Face buttons on regular pro controller feel better and are more consistent. Only buttons that feel better are the dpad

Warning: No HD Rumble
(This makes games like splatoon if you're use to them feel weird as you'll pretty much just have constant rumbling that's not dynamic), very disappointing because youtube review said that it had HDRumble (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xm1bIpeWu0k&ab_channel=DUDE) is the link

Gaps in back of controller
The front is pretty flush connected, but the back of the controller where the handles connect has gaps the size of a finger nail that seem like it'd allow dust and debre to enter the controller over time

For how much this is, that's unacceptable.

Thanks for your feedback! It sounds like you may need to utilize some tools in the Hoja 2 Configuration tool for the controller. Check out the user guide here: https://docs.handheldlegend.com/s/portal/doc/user-guide-wQRaUfU6EM

The configuration tool should resolve motion and rumble issues.

The gaps can be possible due to how the plastic is modled by the manufacturer but they should not large enough to allow dust or debris. It should look more like a tiny seam in between shell and grips. Each controller is thoroughly inspected and tested before being shipped out. As well as, button presses may feel a bit more stiff once received but over time, that should improve. It could also be due to a defective membrane. We would like to discuss these issues mentioned further to ensure you are satisfied with your controller. If you could, please reach out to us at support@handheldlegend.com.

Great but has unexpected problems

Great controller. If you’re considering buying it, you can probably handle the expense and you want a solid 8-gate controller dedicated to Smash Ultimate. It might be the best you can get for that. The USB-C to GameCube and n64 cables available from handheldlegend means you can use it for all the older games too if you buy those separately. Though you could just buy the cables if you like a different pro controller. All around great for Smash.

Buttons all feel like a pro controller but the d-pad is split. The app is easy to use and allows a lot of customization of colors. Very fun to set up and use.

Two minor drawbacks.
Mine is slightly bulkier than a pro controller so it doesn’t fit in a standard case.. only depth (fact to back) and less than 1mm larger than pro. I used a dremel to modify a hard plastic tomtoc case and it works. From what I read online this is fairly common issue with their 3rd party shells that was addressed in the 3.1 & 3.2 models, just not 100%. Seems YMMV.

Second, in wireless mode it is laggier than a pro controller. Independent of battery level and distance. Very noticeable.

The wireless lag is fair enough since you’ll be plugged in any time it matters. It is annoying for practice at home though and means it isn’t great for other games you’d play more casually.

The nonstandard fit is less forgivable since the controller is expensive and you’ll want to protect it when you take it anywhere. The included storage box is just cardboard with styrofoam, not good for travel.

Happy I got it, fits in its niche well.

Bad stick

My left stick sometime is stuck on the bottom and at the price a paid that this is unforgivable + there is some black paint on the hand of the contrôler if we Can call that like this
