WARNINGS:

Test before installation! When you receive a backlight/LCD kit, you should perform a dry run before installing to assure that nothing has been damaged in transit. A dry run or test fit means the kit is not installed in the shell. This includes the use of adhesives, brackets, and any performed soldering. All ribbon cables should have no bends or creases in them. If you are unsure how to perform a dry run, please contact our support team and we will be happy to help. Backlight kits that have been installed are not eligible for replacement or return.
LCD may break if put under too much pressure or dropped. Please exercise extreme caution when installing.

Incredible GBA display

Just installed this and first impressions are great. Definitely recommend buying the bracket as it makes it pretty simple to line up. Haven't spent a ton of time with it yet, so I can't speak to battery life, but the picture quality is incredible. I didn't solder it since I'm happy with the default brightness (and didn't wanna risk anything since soldering is way outta my depth), so installation was pretty straightforward and simple. 10 outta 10 would recommend

First one great the second one awful

I'm working on my second installation with this kit, as the title says first one went great a screen arrived in a hard case. The second one is where the less than fun starts. It came taped to one layer of bubble wrap with the connection to the ribbon cable very flimsy. The screen didn't work so I reached out to hand held support. I was sent a new ribbon cable and did the same tests with pictures. No luck, I reach back out. Here's where the fun really starts. I'm told that the can not replace the screen because it was "damaged during install" but offered a 10 than 20% discount.
So buyer beware and take pictures of the packaging. I sure wish I did. By the way this site is just a marked up reseller, buy direct.

Lovely But...

The IPS screen really makes a difference but I did run into some issues. I’m not sure if it’s the screen or the GBA but the power has become faulty. At times it won’t start, and at others it turns off during gameplay. It appears that something from the screen modification is causing it but I can’t quite pin it. I think that it would be beneficial to have a small set of instructions with the kit, and perhaps a troubleshooting page. Regardless, when the GBA is working, the screen is great.

Ordered a GBA IPS screen, precut shell, replacement glass, and replacement buttons. Everything was very well packaged, and thus far my mod is a dream! The quality of the parts you get definitely shows a passion for the hobby. Would recommend to anybody looking to get into handheld mods.
