The buttons feel great! The only criticisms I have are the the rubber pad for the D-pad is stiffer than my original DMG's (to be expected after many years of use), and I would like the A & B buttons to either be shiny like Nintendo's or (even better) have an intentional matte finish.
Most third party ones are mediocre and these where just great. Made very well don’t feel cheap at all just outstanding work on the buttons
If you want to have your DMG around for decoration and not to play, these will work. For playing, they really suck. These buttons press flush with the case when used, and really feel like garbage. This makes the unit feel like you're just mushing to get anything done and takes away from the experience.
Even the power switch doesn't quite sit right in the device. I would recommend the 2-part buttons as they sit a lot higher and are a closer fit.
TLDR: Color is correct / function is terrible
These buttons look fantastic and can really complete custom color builds ñ, but there seems to be something of on the one I received.
The D Pad is giving me issues when it comes to diagonal movement where the OEM buttons never have. I can’t chalk this up to worn silicone pads as Im using new ones provided by HHL with the purchase of their Prestige DMG shell. Im not sure what might be causing this and they don't seem to be misshapen. All I know is that I was not having these issues until I installed these buttons.
I was a little disappointed when mine arrived (blue ones) since they look actually better on the photo than in rl. Buttons feel and look pretty "average" nothing special about it. If I didn't needed these for a custom build then I would stick to the OEM buttons.
