Not impressed with the quality of these hinges. One hinge had extra flashing preventing the hinge cap from being slid on, so I grabbed a pair of flush cutters and snipped it. The spring shot the plastic end off into the distance, where I'm fairly sure it's still orbiting earth.

Sadly, not what I expected

Handheld legends has some great products however, this one did not work in my favour.

This is definitely partially my fault for not reading the description that says “retrosix shell only.” I just wish the title was more obvious as it’s easy to overlook. I’m sure the hinges work great with the shell, just make sure you double check your shell manufacture.

Thanks for your review! We do our best to list any important information on our products pages. As a good rule of thumb, reading over each product page and any provided documentation thoroughly will help ensure everything is compatible for a proper install. :)

Works great

I bought this for my boxypixel metal hinged sp. Works great.

Does not fit

I did not read the part that says it only works for this brand, its so far down on the page that I overlooked it. I guess you can't buy hinges for other brands on this site which is odd

Poor

These hinges do not fit well and do not feel close to the original spring action. Poor quality. Do not recommend.

Thanks for your feedback! We're sorry to hear of the issue. Double check that your hinges were oriented correctly and properly inserted as this can be a symptom of that. We have a hinge insertion guide to help you do so on our Wiki.

Replacement hinges

These work great. Still nice and tight while giving that nice 'click' that we all remember!
