Handheld Legend is my favorite store and has all I need. Their sega game gear shells fit like a glove. I’m satisfied.

Just received my gray Game Gear shell from HHL. This thing in not bad, however the **** holes are not tapped very well. Fit and finish is very good. My only complaint is, I did not receive the speaker mounting ring! I had to use duct tape. Do these not come with the speaker ring?

There was some slight variation from the original shell that made putting the board in place a tad difficult. One of the posts that holds the cartridge slot down was to wide internally and the **** wouldn’t **** in.

Looks cool and is otherwise a solid replacement.

Let me start off by saying I’m a newbie when it comes to console repair or upgrades of any kind; that being said, I purchased a sega game gear off marketplace, was in horrible condition, and with the help of this case and other hardware I bought, such as capacitors and screen lens, transformed this once forgotten relic into something you can be proud of everyday and also functional as a great handheld gaming device. There is some minor modifications that will need to be done to accommodate your factory pcb (motherboard) but otherwise is a breeze. Just take your time and adjust where necessary, I found a business card makes a good shim if the volume pot **** is rubbing on the case.

Really nice quality shells! Plastic texture is perfect and looking at it side by side with an authentic shell it's really difficult to find any differences. Only thing is, the color (at least with my yellow shell) doesn't seem as vibrant as the rendering. I've looked at it under different light and overall it seems slightly less "lemon" and slightly more "cheddar". But yellow is probably the hardest color to mix so I don't fault the manufacturer. It likely won't bother you, it's still a nice color, just not exactly as shown and not exactly like the authentic yellow GG.
