Handy option that can save time

I haven't tried wiring up a Clean Screen by hand but I will say the wire free flex cable made it a low stress activity.
The cable alignment isn't 100% perfect but it needed very little adjustment on the build I did. At least on my board not all components were exactly centered/aligned. Which could account for some of that.
Would recommend using some kapton tape or similar to tack down the flex cable in position. Made it a lot easier to keep it aligned during soldering.
Some of the solder pads were challenging to bridge to the board but a little patience and more solder typically did the trick.
Overall I am pleased with the harness and would get it again.

As advertised

Does one job and does it pretty well. Seems like the dimensions are a bit wonky on the single chip version resulting in some unnecessary bends on the right side and barely making it on the left, but overall it works great and I can't imagine doing every wire individually. Also, beware your iron temp when attaching the R16-R19 points... I made a bit of a mess out of that section. I think these can be shorted anyway tho, because ringing it out with my meter after the fact had both sides of the resistors going to the same nodes on the board.

Nice if you don't want wires

This is a fairly hard mod, just take it slow. Follow directions and you should have no problems. EXCEPT I would plug in the screen to the board before **** in spacers. Plug it in first then fold it over. Flex cable seems to short and hard to insert if you do it like instructions IMO. Used the wire free hookups for 1-chip. Looks great.

The clean screen is awesome.

I love the clean screen, so far I have installed two. They look gorgeous and aren't too bad to install.
