WARNINGS:

Does not include insulation! LCD may short or blow a fuse if the back of the LCD is not properly insulated. We recommend the use of Kapton Tape for this step or reusing the original insulation.
Test before installation! When you receive a backlight/LCD kit, you should perform a dry run before installing to assure that nothing has been damaged in transit. A dry run or test fit means the kit is not installed in the shell. This includes the use of adhesives, brackets, and any performed soldering. All ribbon cables should have no bends or creases in them. If you are unsure how to perform a dry run, please contact our support team and we will be happy to help. Backlight kits that have been installed are not eligible for replacement or return.
LCD may break if put under too much pressure or dropped. Please exercise extreme caution when installing.

Nowhere on this listing or the packaging for the item was there any mention or warning of the potential to short the motherboard due to the lack of insulation on the back of the LCD. Considering the care handheldlegend takes to place other warnings on the site, I'm disappointed that this wasn't mentioned.

Shorted Motherboard

This is my fault... since I'm relatively new to this.

But I had no Idea that the replacement Bottom Screen would short my Motherboard due to no insulation.

Advice for future customers, make sure you transfer the insulation from the old Screen to the new one.

Great bottom screen.

Just remember to insulate the back using Kapton tape so you don't short your DS Lite and trip the fuses. The screen itself is brilliant, and worked flawlessly in my GB Macro.

Successful Screen Replacement... Mostly

The screen works great and the install was easy! EXCEPT they don't mention that if you don't insulate the back of the LCD with some electrical tape it will short out your motherboard and fry the F1 fuse, so charging port doesnt work!! I manually crushed the fuse and bridged it with soulder and it's all good now. Screen is great though.
